Who we are and what we do
The River Basin Management Society (RBMS) is a representative body for professionals working with land, water and natural resource management in Australia.
The RBMS recognises, promotes and disseminates advances in the natural resource management industry as well as providing independent professional advocacy and comment. We encourage education, training, research and development for our members and the industry through funding and partnerships.
You can become a member of the RBMS today by signing up at http://rbmsmembership.eventbrite.com.au/. Membership is only $60 per year, or free for full-time students. Existing or past members can view their membership details or renew their membership by logging in via the Members page.
The Inaugural River Basin Management Society Awards Night
The RBMS has announced the inaugural awards night will be held on Friday, 23 August at Rivers Edge, Melbourne. It will be a night to celebrate the acheivements of our industry and to reward our RBMS members and friends. Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- The Waterway Management Leadership Award
- Outstanding Waterway Managment Project of the Year
- Innovation in Waterway Management
- Involving Community in Waterway Management
- Management Response to a Catastrophic Event Impacting Waterways
- Building Knowledge in Waterway Management
- Influencing Positive Change in Waterway Management
