Introduction

The 4th Australian Stream Management Conference, Linking rivers to landscapes, was held in Launceston in October 2004. The 95 papers in these proceedings covered four key areas: landscape processes that influence rivers; identifying and managing values associated with river landscapes; education and change; river management at the grass roots level.
