Introduction

The 7th Australian Stream Management Conference – ‘Catchment to Coast’ is being held in Townsville in July 2014. The proximity to Great Barrier Reef highlights the importance of the theme ‘Catchment to Coast’.

The conference is being convened by the ICM Foundation Public Fund in association with the River Basin Management Society.

The conference provides the opportunity to discuss both recent developments and long term experiences in stream management, including the role of physical interventions and management, catchment and riparian management, environmental flows, community expectations from stream systems, drought and flood recovery policy and monitoring and evaluation programs.
