Melbourne launch of “Cultural Flows” films
In the lead up to NAIDOC week, Traditional Owners from both sides of the Murray River will travel to Melbourne to showcase two new films that highlight the importance issue of Indigenous water rights.
Indigenous leaders from the Mutthi Mutthi and Wadi Wadi Nations will launch the Cultural Flows films: two new 25-minute documentaries that explore Indigenous people’s deep connections to the rivers and waterways in their country.
The films present a powerful argument for Indigenous water rights in the context of the current national debate over the future of the Murray Darling Basin.
