Last Monday we kicked off a conversation about the State Environment Protection Policy (SEPP) Waters of Victoria Review – but there’s just so much to it that we ran out of time!
Join us next Wednesday for another chat to inform the RBMS submission on this important policy review. We encourage you to come, regardless of whether you attended last Monday’s discussion or not.
We’ll be focusing on questions 8 and onwards posed in the discussion paper: http://www.delwp.vic.gov.au/state-environment-protection-policy-waters-review.
The discussion paper aims to facilitate discussion and increase understanding of the role of SEPP in setting a framework for the protection of water environments. It poses a series of questions throughout, seeking feedback on how you believe water environments should be managed and protected, both now and in the future.
If you’re unable to make this reading group, it will be possible to provide feedback to the committee by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
A supplementary information sheet, Improving water quality in Victoria – the role of the SEPP (Waters) review, is also available online and provides some context and background information on the role of the SEPP in the protection of water quality in Victoria.
Please note: This reading group is scheduled for a Wednesday at 7.40 am, rather than the usual Thursday 7.30 am time slot.
