RBMS Annual General Meeting
The RBMS Annual General Meeting presented the following documents:
Feature Discussion – a new water plan for Victoria.
The water sector has some big challenges ahead – climate change, population growth, finding balance between competing demands and continuing to develop resilient systems to support social fabric, the environment and economic productivity for the decades to come. The Victorian Government is setting the future direction for water management through development of a new water plan for Victoria. DELWP is leading the water plan project and is currently developing a discussion paper with input from key stakeholders. The scope of the water plan includes all aspects of the water cycle which are within the DELWP portfolio. RBMS members are well informed on many of these aspects, including catchments , waterways, floodplains, drainage, stormwater and consumptive water use.
In this feature session, DELWP staff will introduce the plan and seek ideas, comments and feedback on issues relevant to RBMS members, as well as opportunities for future involvement.
