The RBMS met to discuss the Draft Victorian Floodplain Management Strategy on Tuesday 5th August.
The aim of the draft strategy is to better prepare Victoria for severe flooding by enabling communities and relevant agencies to undertake informed management actions. The proposed polices, actions and accountability’s are expected to set the policy direction for floodplain management in Victoria over the next 10 years. The consultation period for the Draft Strategy is currently underway, with submissions on the Draft Strategy due 5pm, Monday 11 August 2014.
