Geomorphic change detection workshop

Direct from the USA – Assistant Professor Joe Wheaton will be delivering a 2−day course on his Geomorphic Change Detection software at the University of Queensland, St Lucia Campus, Brisbane.

The GCD software quantifies the uncertainties when using DEM’s of difference to calculate volumetric budgets of erosion and deposition. This is a growing area of expertise in geomorphology, especially with the more routine application of LiDAR data sets and workshop participants will train in the use of this software using example DEMs from SE Queensland.

The workshop runs on 4 – 5 December, 2014. You can register online or contact  Ramona Dalla Pozza for details.
