Our July seminar was facilitated by Lauren Mittiga (MW) and featured Cathy Wilkinson (OLV) and Peter Breen (E2DesignLab). An audience of 25 listened to Cathy present the proposed outcomes of the recent draft policy released by the Office of Living Victoria for consultation. ‘Melbourne’s Water Future’ provides a new approach to managing the urban water cycle in Melbourne and explores ways in which the whole water cycle works together. For more information visit www.livingvictoria.vic.gov.au. Following Cathy’s presentation, Peter enlightened the audience with his perspective on the challenges facing the water industry as it moves to adopt Integrated Water Management. An engaging discussion ensued as many insightful questions were raised by members of the audience.
Integrated Water Management is a process which coordinates the management of water, land and related resources in a holistic fashion. Following the release of new policy in early July 2013, the River Basin Management Society (RBMS) is pleased to present this seminar which will introduce this policy and explore the challenges facing Integrated Water Management in the future.
