RBMS Reading Group Geelong

The River Basin Management Society is pleased to invite you to the next Geelong reading group on the afternoon of Thursday 14th January 2016. The reading groups are a chance to have a relaxed discussion about an interesting, topical, controversial or informative topic over a beverage or two – come along and let us help ease your brain back into gear in the New Year!

We will be discussing the recent paper Ecological effects of extreme climatic events on riverine ecosystems: insights from Australia. It presents a range of conceptual models that trace the impacts of extreme weather events on riverine ecosystems and will be the starting point to kick off a discussion on preparing for and managing the impacts of bushfire and drought on waterways.

Our venue will be the Little Creatures Geelong Brewery, 4:30 – 5:30pm on Thursday 14th January.

Hope to see you there!
