The Wise Water Ways Workshop provides a comprehensive overview of stream rehabilitation and management principles and practices. The five day workshop offers new and current waterways practitioners the opportunity to gather, discuss and learn from a wide range of Australian and overseas waterways experts, researchers and managers. Many of the workshop speakers present new research findings and developments, and offer their first hand experience in stream management.
Each year, the Wise Water Ways Committee invites specialist researchers in water quality, macroinvertebrate and fish, as well as practical on-ground managers, to engage with participants and present their most recent findings. The 2015 Wise Water Ways Workshop to be held in Beechworth, will be no exception. Key note speaker, Professor Jane Doolan, will present her talk on ‘The Evolution of CMAs in Victoria – Connecting Communities and Catchments’.
